The Multicultural Day is about promoting understanding within our communities. I want to celebrate our diversity and secure Dudley a positive reputation on the national and international stage.

The reason why I wanted to have a multicultural day is to show how culturally diverse Dudley has become in recent years, with no real actual evidence of how many cultures there is in the Dudley borough it does make it hard to find out properly how diverse Dudley really is.

It’s about making friends with people from different backgrounds and life experiences – and learn about their values also promote their own beliefs in a spirit of peace and harmony.

The Multicultural Day will kindle local civic pride and confidence, and has the potential to improve the economic, environmental and social well-being of borough residents. I would like to demonstrate how Dudley’s vibrant colourful past, present and future with the different cultures that have settled over the years has made the Black Country as vibrant as it is today.
