Assalamu aleykum!

Among the seven types of people in the shade of Allah on Judgement Day will be the person whose hearts is attached to the masjid. For a mosque to be beloved to the people and a place they consider to be a second home, it must first be fit for purpose. The Muslim community of Old Kent Road Masjid are fundraising to rebuild a masjid more suited for its needs. In line with these efforts, I am participating in a charity bike ride, the Tour de Salah.

The Tour De Salah is an annual bike ride organised for Muslims by Ibn Battuta Expeditions. On 9th September, I will be undertaking the 60km challenge which takes a circular route through London, passing iconic landmarks and stopping to pray at different masaajid.
