Story
Keelen Wong was brutally murdered on October 3rd, 2023 in Brixton, South London only 22 years of age. He was born and spent most of his life in Brixton and was well-known and loved in the area. A mural with his name has been painted on a wall in the Moorlands estate in Brixton by the artist @bethnextdoor which is the inspiration behind our Learn2Live logo.
Remembering a loved one who has passed away is an important part of the grieving process and one of the best ways to ensure someone who has died will be remembered long into the future is by creating a memorial. We want to add to his name by getting an image of Keelen's face painted by the super talented street artist Zabou (https://zabou.me/street-art/). We have been quoted £2,000 and so we are raising money to be able to get it done hopefully in time for his birthday in March.
Some people get park benches, others plant a tree, we want to make sure that Keelen's name and face will not be forgotten and that even though he is gone, that Keelen remains a part of our community and a special part in our lives.
We thank you and appreciate any contribution you are able to give to help us make this happen.
Here are some pictures of Zabou's work for you to get an idea how it will look.
