Assalaamu Alaykum dear Ummah,

I am trying to raise some money to pay off my third year tuition fees for university.

I do realise that my situation is not of a truly needy individual. When we look around the world, the majority of the Ummah are struggling. They are being bombed, killed, imprisoned, raped, starved and Allah Knows what else. So I do not expect people to choose whether to donate to my cause or an orphan in Syria for example. I would say please, donate to the orphans! All I ask from you, is a small donation, sharing this story with all of your contacts and most importantly, sincere Dua, for me and every other Muslim in whatever struggle
they may be facing.

Allah SWT wages war on those who take interest. Allahu Akbar. How can anyone bear to take interest knowing this. All I can ask is forgiveness from Allah SWT and try to fix this situation. Those university students that have done the same thing I did, please seek repentance, do not belittle the severity of the sin and seek forgiveness sincerely. I have not come across a single person of knowledge/scholar that allows taking interest on student loans, none. It's grade A, clear-cut haraam. We must realise this and remember that we are going to stand infront of Allah SWT one day, and He will question us about every thing we did in this world. University loans are not a reason to take out loans. So my dear brothers and sisters who have taken the loan, I really do urge you to pray 2 rakat repentance, and also to help me in my situation, so at least you can say on Yawmul Qiyamah, "Ya Allah I did make this mistake but I helped one of your servants not make the same sin". Perhaps because of you assisting me, maybe Allah SWT will look at you with mercy and forgive all of your sins. Allah Knows Best.
