On Friday the 8th of September at about 11:15pm the ground shook beneath the feet of hundreds of thousands of people in Morocco.

A 7.1 magnitude earthquake hit the Al Hawz region in the Atlas mountain area - close to Marrakech.

The hardest hit communities have been those in rural and remote mountain areas where people still live in mud houses and basic homes. These areas are also extremely difficult to reach and in the next coming days the true extent of the damage will be witnessed.

In the spirit of humanity and knowing our community in Gibraltar is so intertwined with that of Morocco in a relationship that spans centuries.

We have teamed up with MAROC ATLAS 4x4 in order to raise funds that will be used to help rebuild for many of these affected families. In the hope that we can target the worst hit communities.
