Story

. This bridge will make it possible to safely cross the river and access the school.

Monte Cassino Girls High is a Catholic boarding school located in Macheke, Zimbabwe. Monte provides holistic education to girls and empowers them to grow into strong women who make positive contributions to their communities.

Today, the school faces the challenge of the Macheke River which floods to dangerous levels and cuts Monte Cassino away from the rest of its community. When the river is flooded, students, teachers, workers, and parents risk their lives crossing the river in order to get to school. (The Video here shows parents waiting for the water to subside before they cross).

No-one should have to risk their life in order to get to school or work. We invite Alumni and friends of Monte Cassino Girls High School to contribute towards the efforts to construct a bridge and save lives. Our goal is to raise £10,000. All funds raised on this platform will go directly to this bridge project.
