Story
We are raising an overall USD $55,000 (£50,000 or Ksh. 6,682,000) to provide water facilities in Kenya’s drier areas for villages and also help wild animals in the national parks. The prolonged recent drought in the eastern part of Africa has affected Kenya and neighbouring countries more severely.
Through work over the past 6 years, we have been able to place some basic water facilities, deliver water in trucks, build water pans and water holes for wildlife, build a small bee farm, create new sunflower fields, give Covid-19 relief for park rangers through providing essential supplies, acquire 2 AWG water machines, build a volunteer camp so people can come and help rangers in the park watch, allocate paid rangers for anti-poaching watches, and not least try to fight the drought.
The work continues… the next actions we would like to undertake are to acquire two solar power units in order to supply continuous electricity to the AWGs, water treatment machine for an existing borehole, re-forestation activities, upkeep of the ranger vehicle and water truck, and expenses for 3 - 4 rangers who perform park watch activities.
Your support will help to change the landscape, lives, and ecosystems for this area of Africa. On behalf of Kenya's wildlife, villages, and farms, we thank everyone who has made this possible already. Please kindly donate here for the MWT website. We thank you for your very generous support.
