I'm raising £1500 to Running for Myanmar: Emergency Earthquake Relief Fundraiser

I will run both the London Half-Marathon and Full-Marathon to raise urgent funds for communities devastated by the recent 7.7 magnitude earthquake in Myanmar on March 28, 2025. I’m thrilled to be running my very first marathon—the iconic London Marathon—in support of a cause that truly means a lot to me.
The Crisis in Myanmar
The earthquake has claimed over a thousand lives, with many more trapped beneath collapsed buildings. This disaster strikes a population already enduring immense hardship following the 2021 military coup—including armed conflict, displacement, and humanitarian crises. Vulnerable communities now face compounded suffering, and immediate support is critical.
How Your Donation Helps
Every pound raised will go directly to trusted local charities providing:
• Emergency medical care
• Shelter for displaced families
• Food and clean water
• Recovery efforts for affected communities
I have a proven track record in Myanmar fundraising (https://gofund.me/5984ed16) , ensuring your contribution reaches those most in need.
Having grown up in Myanmar, this crisis hits painfully close to home. I'm running not just as a fundraiser, but as someone who knows these streets and communities now buried in debris. In this earthquake, I lost my friends and colleagues who worked together with me in the past. This run will be in remembrance for them as well. I hope their souls will be in peace.
Transparency Promise
All funds will be channelled through on-ground partners with decade-long experience in Myanmar disaster response, including friends from MMOC school (https://www.facebook.com/MMOC.CPD) who are already on the ground delivering aid.
I will provide regular updates on fund allocation, including photos and reports from partners on the ground.
Join the Response
I would be deeply grateful for your support in helping me reach my fundraising goal. Every contribution will not only motivate me through the miles but also go towards creating a meaningful, positive impact. I’m committed to giving this my all—thank you for being part of this journey with me.
