My Birthday Box

“Every child should be celebrated on their special day even in challenging and uncertain times”

My daughter Renée and i have come up with a brilliant idea to help struggling families with children who live in the London Boroughs of Waltham Forest, Haringey and Hackney.

Renée will be 18 on 27th April 2020 and feels sad that she won’t be able to celebrate this milestone birthday in the usual way due to this Covid-19 lockdown.

This got us thinking about all those families on a low income who are having to choose between celebrating their children's birthday, paying their bills and finding money for food.

We would like to provide these families with a birthday gift box containing balloons, birthday banner, party poppers, birthday badge, a card, sweets, notebook & pens and possibly a gift card to purchase a small cake & candles from the supermarket.

This is for children aged 1-16.

We estimate these boxes will cost under £15 each to make but would make a massive difference to these children and their families.

This is a difficult time for all of us. These birthday boxes will help the family and also help with making each child feel extra special on their special day.

We believe that EVERY child deserves to be celebrated on their birthday.

This mission will also strengthen the mother and daughter bond that we have as we will be working closely everyday to help as many people as possible.

Renée and I have created this fundraising page to raise money to buy the supplies in bulk at wholesale prices and make up the boxes at home.

We will deliver the boxes to the local food banks/community provisions in Waltham Forest, Haringey & Hackney where people can access them.

This way we will NOT need to collect any personal data. We will only be keeping a record of the number of boxes we deliver to each specific location.

As we are unable to access your donations until 14 days after the launch of this Just Giving page we have already bought some supplies to get things started.
