Story

Our Father (63) who lives in Ormoc City Leyte, in the Philippines was diagnosed with stage 4 Lung Cancer mid September 2017. Although the root of the cancer is small, the cancer has spread to his bones.

He is very hardworking father.  He worked in construction many years ago when he was younger, after that he worked in a rice field for past 30 years or more, even until he was diagnosed with cancer.

He rarely gets ill, so it was a surprise to us that he started to complain of  backpain and soon had a fever and eyelid drop. He was seen by several “specialists” at the hospital in Cebu City. The hospital there did not diagnose the cancer but only said that he had pneumonia and his eyelid was drooping. The travel to Cebu City and the different tests cost a lot of money.

It wasnt until my father became very sick again when returning to Ormoc that my parents went to the local hospital who diagnosed the cancer.

My brother managed to get my parents to Manila to confirm the diagnosis and to see what options were available. At the moment the treatment suggested is Chemotherapy.

The costs of tests and treatments, as well as pain relief are seriously mounting. We are unsure how we as a family can pay for the treatment with the cost being so much. But our father is very dear to us and he worked so hard all his life.

We need money right now to pay for the Chemotherapy.  We cannot get the treatment until we have enough money.

We heard that supplements might help so any that are good for cancer treatment would be welcome. Also anything to relieve the pain or symptoms.

Anything you can spare is welcomed and no donation too small. Thank you very much.
