So alot of people know Jack and his background and follow his story! Jack is 5 years old and has spent his whole life in and out of hospital for various things, he has complex medical care needs. The past couple of month have been the hardest yet, Jack had major spinal surgury in December and it has been a tough time for us as a family espcially Jack hes been in & out of hospital so much, the surgury took place he was in theatre 8 hours and ever since weve had alot to deal with, hes had septic scares after surgury, chest, throat, gut, gastrostomy, eye & celulitus skin infections,and many more. It has been 6.5 weeks since the surgury took place & Jack has spent 23 hour a day in bed laying down hes currently not mobile he has walked a couple of steps since surgury but not much hes in so much pain and everything is setting him back hes not eating really if he does its very little hes lost weight and now on a pump feed through his peg. All this has resulted in me not working for 10 weeks due to stress. A year prior to Jacks operation we was in-out of hospital for chronic pains due to the spine & legs (the operation got cancelled 3 times) and Jacks mobility deteriated, so over the past 14 months you can imagine the ammount of money weve lost for travel expenses, accomdation for Jacks dad at a near by place to the hospital, general expenses and so on. Ive lost alot of wages and now its all starting to really affect us finacially. Weve been told by so many people to fundrasie to help for our expenses and to try get back on track and keeping a housing running with all this extra stuff is proving difficult. Alfie evans legacy helped us last year they were amazing they funded us for an air puryfying machine & a well need weekend away for the kids for a break away form hospital life. Weve fundraised before for items never for expenses. Its something i dont like doing at all but im hoping with all the support we get we will smash the target. Please see my fb for Jacks updates
