1.2 Million older people are left alone year after year after year. . . .
This is a plea to companies that are able to give any support. On December 25th Age uk Warwickshire will be hosting for the 2nd year running a Christmas day lunch for 50 vulnerable older people who live locally and would normally pass the festive season alone. The christmas day event is being held at the Episode Hotel in Leamington Spa.
This is a wonderful day and a day where for some older people the only day they see other people and a different set of 4 walls apart from there own and possible carers. Being alone can be daughting and I would like to help them raise some money to bring people together. A 2 minute chat or a 10 minute cup of tea makes a difference from neighbour to neighbour but think of those that don't have that neighbour or that family member to pop in from time to time. To be able to know No one is alone at Christmas is a magical gift in itself.
This day is for the able, less able, dementia sufferers and more the chance to form beautiful relationships with other people. No one should be alone and to see the smiles on there faces and warm glow in there heart is the best feeling ever.

The money provided will be spent on the hotel, a 3 course meal and a drink, musicians, a Christmas gift for each older person, taxis for collection and drop off.
Please help me help them provide an older person with the gift of friendship and happiness and not loneliness.
