I'm Nelly, a dynamic, driven individual who seeks advancement and learning on all levels.
I've done so much in life but never achieved my life goals! One of my long term goals has been to graduate. I visualised myself at university from the age of 5, dreaming and believing that I would get to university! I've been through the mill with life, have moved at least 56 times, found out at 19 that I was adopted, had a break down, and was dropped out of my A'Levels before I sat the exams!! I embarked on finding other ways I could still gain entry to university without A'Levels. I did several short courses colleges starting from Level 1 & worked my way up to Level 3. I enrolled onto a two-year HND course in business management at a college in London. The HND would give me Level 4 and 5, after which I would apply to finally go to university!! I did the 2 year HND with so much enthusiasm, I was empowering everyone! I was finally just a step away from my long term dream!! It had taken me years and had required so many sacrifices, but I was finally going to get there. 14th July 2014, a Meeting stating that we would not be verified and all our modules, (16 of them from first year to date, had all been downgraded and we were to disregard any grades we'd previously been awarded). And that if we still wanted to be verified, we would have to re-sit every single one of the 16 modules, have them re-marked, and externally verified, before we could be certified.
I got duped by a college who had quality issues with Edexcel but nonone of us kmew, beacuse the college was still fully operating and we as students weren't told anything. Sad thing is now that I'm finally at University, I have no money to fund mt to pay the first 2 years of my 3 year course.
