Akwaaba! As part of Cocoa360’s, a 501(c)(3) non-profit based in Ghana, annual fundraiser, I’m running the Battersea Park half-marathon 11th March 2023 to raise funds to sponsor the education of 5 girls in the 2023 academic year! Cocoa360 is pioneering a community financing model called "Farm-for-Impact", where proceeds from community farms are used to support educational and health infrastructure. Cocoa360.org

As a Development Fellow, I just had the privilege of visiting the tuition-free Tarkwa Breman Girls' School (TBGS), Community Clinic and Library, which is primarily funded by revenues from the TB Community Cocoa Farms, supported by Cocoa360. As it stands, there are more girls without access to education than there are sweet, sweet cocoa revenues to fund while we scale operations. So I’m running to ensure the costs of uniform, books and primary health care are covered for (at least!) 5 girls next year.
