Hooria is young girl born in a remote village in the heart of Kashmir. She is only 5 years old.

She was born with a condition which does not allow her to move, respond, communicate, eat, drink in any way that you or I would find perfectly normal to do. Her doctors, from the local areas, have yet been unable to fully diagnose her condition only prescribing her pain killers to allow her to live more comfortably. With limited resources it is still not known whether Hooria is able to see, although her parents suspect she may be blind or close enough with the lack of visual reaction she has towards light and movement. Hooria is unable to feed herself and suffers from dysphagia therefore unable to swallow solid food. As a result she suffers from a constant swollen throat and lung related problems. At 5 years old she is growing and it is becoming harder and harder for her parents to care for her especially as they have no medical knowledge or support for her condition. Currently Hooria's throat is very swollen and painful even something like water has become hard for her to swallow. She urgently needs a Gastrostomy which is a feeding tube inserted into her stomach through her abdomen to supply her the nutrition she needs. This costs money and travelling to a specialist hospital which her parents are unable to afford to do.

Having seen something like this and taking the wonderful NHS for granted, it breaks my heart to see how this young girl suffers day and night due to the lack of medical attention.

The Funds I'm trying to raise are an estimate just to cover having an operation to insert the feeding tube with hope that in the near future i am able to raise enough for her to receive a full medical checkup and diagnosis and to receive the best possible care.
