What's it all about?

Hello, my name is Allison Birt and I'm trying to raise money to travel to Namibia, Africa on a once in a lifetime trip to volunteer in the local community. I have to raise £3,000 and I need your help to get me there!

Travelling to Africa would be such an amazing opportunity. I want to meet new people and help the local community. Whilst out there I'm going to be helping teach English in a local Namibian school and take part in a refurbishment project, this includes: building floors for the school as they currently don't have any floors, planting a new vegetable patch as the last one was trampled on by elephants and making sure it is elephant proof! We will also be taking story books out to the children and I can't wait to do a story time with Allison.

Your money will fund this 15 day expedition, allowing me to live alongside a community and making a meaningful contribution to an ongoing local cause and to global citizenship.
