Story
Recently I was diagnosed with triple negitive breast cancer, as treatment, i have to have a six month course of chemotheropy before they can decide what to do next....
With this treatment comes hair lose and the time has come where my fabulous hair is starting to moult!! SO instead of weeping about it, i want you’ll to donate/sponsor me some money to shave it all off. I will donate the first £500 towards the new Linda McCartney centre thats being built, after that i will give any thing above the £500 to the Maggie centre at Clatterbridge where i recieve my chemotheropy every friday & The Hewitt fertility clinic @ The Liverpool womens hospital. All three places are amazing and i feel blessed to have the NHS system that we do in this country.
On top of this I will also try to donate my hair towards becoming a wig or extentions for someone else going through this.
Little back story- After visiting my doctor she referred me to the Liverpool Royal Hospital where I attended the Linda McCartney Centre.
From the second I found out I had cancer I was given support and advice from all the staff. This stopped my mind from spiriling though out what felt like a million tests. These had to be done to clarify my diagnosis and its possibilities..... ?? had it spread, what type of cancer is it, can it be treated, will i die.....??? so many questions but yet always provided with answers or ressurance. The nurses, doctors, oncologists, professor, receptionists, voluteers, each one amazing, they have given me and still give me the confidence to be postive I will have a future beyond cancer, while making this journey a lot more barable and A LOT less scary.
For that reason I want to help raise money for the new Centre to be built, so this care and level expertise, can carry on being given in a nicer, fresher and more high tech enviroment for all invovled. The staff and patients will have better equipment and fascilities, it will be built to feel more welcoming and homely, all this really maters when you spend many days in there.
So please put your hand in your pocket and donate what you can, make someone elses crazy journey that bit more bearable.
Thank you in Advance
