Yesterday was gut wrenching! I made the difficult decision of rehoming Isambard

I know in my heart I’ve found him a place that will love and care for him dearly.

While other rescue places told me to euthanise him, declined him on the initial telephone calls, these two rescues understood him. They could see all that he has had gone through in his first 6 years. Isambard carried all the emotions from being rescued when a puppy and the grief that came with living in our household, where his daddy was diagnosed with cancer three times.

I had a rescue place that made promises they were not able to fulfil at the very last minute. Very distressing to say the least.

I would like to be able to raise as much awareness for these two rescue places. I have personally made a donation to both rescue places.

Please may I ask if you have 50p or £1 spare to help with their running costs. There is absolutely no pressure as I will always support them personally for their help and kindness with our little family.

Isambard is staying with his friends at dogs4rescue in Manchester. This is a sanctuary with no kennels. It’s incredible. They also have a lottery for anyone wanting to help them but also have the chance to win something in return.

Canine Alsorts is run by a lady who is a one man band and a force for making sure she helps and advocates for dogs that she can help care for. This is a foster care service and she ends up with very expensive vet bills.
