This is Freya, my little firecracker! She is now 6 months old but when she was just 3 weeks old she had an accident. To this day we do not know what happened.

After work one day I noticed that she was struggling to get up from lying down and it soon became clear that she could not stand up at all. She had no movement or ability in her back legs and tail. After rushing her to the vets they basically told me to put her down...I just couldn't do that...shes such a sparky girlie and was clearly wanting to fight if I gave her the chance...so I did!

Unfortunately due to her age she was not insured, which now means that we have to pay for any and all treatment.

After weeks of hand feeding her and manipulating her bladder she took the opportunity (during a mummy cuddle) to stand up for the first time! Even though it was only for a split second, I knew that this was our turning point.

Fast forward a few months, lots of fab physio thanks to Tace Allen and also the team at 5 Valleys Canine Hydrotherapy, she can walk! She is very wobbly and nowhere near to being semi-normal but it's a massive leap in the right direction. The vets have said the only way to know exactly what is going on and if there is any future for Freya, we need to get a scan done which costs upwards of £1000.

Being realistic the scan may present us with the unthinkable...the fact that she may never get better and the best thing will be to let our baby girl go...heartbreaking to even consider this!!!

There are 2 other possible outcomes...she will be like this forever but can have a happy life or it will show that with an operation she can make a full recovery and walk and run and play with her friends...just like her friends...this surgery again is going to cost in the region of £6000.

Please help me help Freya to be able to live a full and wonderful life.
