My grandad has been diagnosed with dementia recently, he has deteriorated very quickly. My nan and grandad have lived in their family home for the most of their lives. They’ve brought up their children in this home and their 3 grand children. They really dont want to leave their memories behind and possibly confused my grandad even more. They physically can’t afford to get the adaptations in the house for my grandad, these are things he needs to stay in their home. They’re thinking of splitting their living room/dining room into and bringing their bedroom downstairs. My grandad is very unsteady on his feet and struggles to bear his own weight. These changes will mean a lot to them and make everyday life easier.
