Story
Hi, my name is Naomi Smith and I’m running the Great North Run (13.1 miles) this year on 9th September for Giving Children Hope Initiative (GCHI).
GCHI is a small charity in Uganda, based in Mityana, to help the children in a very rural community. Currently there are over 300 pupils, many of whom are orphans. Unfortunately many children can’t go to the school as they live too far away to get there every day. There is no public transport to the school, so the children must walk. However the charity has started work on building a dormitory, allowing 100 children to stay at the school so they can get an education. The cost of this building will be £1000 in total. I am hoping to raise £500 of this to help them on their way. I can do the running, but I need your support to help make it happen, so please sponsor me.
