In October I shall be running the Oxford half marathon (13miles), this will be a challenge for myself as this is the furthest I have run before. My aim is to complete the run in 2 hours and 15 minutes. I have decided to focus my fundraising not on a chosen charity but to raise money towards equipment or resources for the cardiology ward which I work on. The resources and equipment I shall be raising money towards have been chosen by my colleagues and are items that they felt both patients and staff alike would benefit from.

Equipment and resources I shall be fundraising for are:

Fans to help both staff and patients feel comfortable during hot days.

Pressure relieving cushions for patients to sit on in order to prevent the development of pressure sores.

Measuring sticks for establishing a patients height on admission.

Thermometer probes for observations.

Any contribution made would be greatly appreciated and would be going to a fantastic cause.
