Story

Naomi's passion was, and still is being an amazing mum! Naomi took good care of herself, she didnt smoke or drink and loved to go for a run to keep fit. However, just a couple of months before our daughter Bettys second birthday my beautiful wife Naomi had a major stroke and was cut down shortly after getting married and starting a family. The stroke affected all the right side of her body from head to toe. She couldn't feel down that side or move her arm or leg, she lost her sight and her hearing on that side too. She could barely speak and had trouble understanding what was going on. Slowly but surely she began to find her words and understand more, some feeling began to return and her vision and hearing improved.
Three months later, after keeping focused and trying with all her strength and determination in physio and speach therapy, she has taken some amazing steps forward in her recovery.
She can now walk a short way with her frame or a stick and with help can get up and down stairs. She says she feels more like herself, like a fog has begun to lift and although she gets stuck on a few words she can have a normal conversation. Although progress has been good there's still a long way to go. Shes just got home from the hospital thank goodness, because me and Betty have missed her being here so much! Although the NHS have good aftercare, its limited and it wont last forever. She needs continual care, physio, child care for Betty. We're having to make changes to our home, transport and lifestyle to accommodate her new needs which all comes at great expence. Any help would be greatly appreciated and i will try and update everyone with her progress.
Thank you for taking the time to read this.
