Story
I'm raising funds to give back to Rotherham Hospital.

NAPPY DONATIONS!
Why am I asking for nappy donations?
After leaving home with just my phone, keys, purse and his red book. I realised that we had nothing for him, no nappies, wipes, clothes etc.
I began to think how I can repay the paediatric and children’s ward for everything they have done for Myles, myself and my partner while staying at the hospital.
We are looking to donate as many packs of nappies we can get to be able to help any future parents that maybe in the situation we have been in.
I am asking Family, Friends, ANYONE! who is able to afford to donate either packs of nappies or money towards packs of nappies that will be donated straight to Rotherham Paediatric/Children’s ward.
If you wish to donate in anyway please drop a comment or message me and we can arrange something!

Our experience:
This weekend has been one of many emotions and not at all how we wanted it to go.
Friday morning Myles woke up being very fussy and just thought it was due to us needing to leave early for a trip to Brimingham.
On our way we stopped at a services for a feed and he was rather limp and but cried, I thought that this was because I woke him and he wasn’t interested and annoyed.
Throughout the morning he got worse, not very awake or alert when awake, barely feeding / not interested in feeding, and started to get pale.
After getting increasingly worried I cut my trip short and came home early.
Once home his condition wasn’t getting any better, still pale, limp when picking him up, no interest in feeds, wanting to sleep, no wake windows, not alert like his normal self, and pupils very small!
I rang 111 told them the situation and they got an ambulance to come to us. After around 30minutes the ambulance showed with 2 lovely crew who helped calm me, listened to what was going off and took what I was saying seriously.
They took his temp, heart rate and blood pressure then took Myles and I to Paediatric A&E.
We got put in a room straight away, with a quick turn around they were poking and prodding with needles for different things such as bloods, which I found extremely hard to witness so left him in the room with Kyle. The nurses on the ward let me sit in another room to decompress and fed me as I hadn’t eaten since the morning.
After the initial checks they took us up to the children’s ward for closer and further monitoring, antibiotic infusions to help prevent any infections they think he could have progressing, followed by more tests to rule out any and every infection Myles could have, All while talking us through all there steps, reassuring us why they are doing certain things, and keeping us up to date and in the loop with all results as and when.
After 48 hours in hospital, tests, monitoring, antibiotics and answers to what is wrong with our baby boy. We have now been allowed to go home while the PARROT care team will come out to administer his daily antibiotics through his cannula.
Thank you all.
BUT most importantly
Thank you to Rotherham Hospital - Rotherham Paediatric A&E - Rotherham Children’s ward. 🩵
