I am fundraising for the Mayor of Walsall's Chosen Charity W P H counselling and education services.

After battling with Mental health problems from the age of 15, only I know too well what it's like to live a life in secret, on the outside you look fine, you dress fine, you speak fine, you work fine but on the inside you are in piecies, falling apart, crumbling & crying for help but don't know who and where to turn too. I struggled to do the basic things that we take for granted such as get out of bed, eat & drink, I felt lonely and detached from life despite having really good people around me. I struggled to fulfil my dreams & ambtions.

Your too embarrassed to speak up or speak out because of the stigma attached to Mental health.

As time went on my mental health problems had become more severe and I was put on high doses of medication but despite this medication I lost the desire & hope to live and took an overdose and tried to commit suicide on more then one occasion.

I was fortunate to access all the help I could get via the mental health team, counselling, therapy and the support of my nearest and dearest family and friends.

It took a lot to come out and share this story with the hope of helping others in need, with all the pressures & stress in life it's so important we have a confidential service that we can turn too.

For a moment I would like you to stop and think of others who are less fortunate then us, who have no one to turn too, for all those fighting a battle to live but give up hope, for all those you meet every day yet don't know why they are facing or dealing with.
