Story

Our goal at the Marwa Relief Fund is to help those families in need in the most devastated of places, but are not as frequently mentioned but require the upmost amount of aid, such as Yemen.

Yemen is on the brink of a catastrophic famine resulting from more than 5 years of conflict. The UN has described the humanitarian situation in Yemen as the worst in the world with more than 22 million people in need of aid. Life in Yemen today has been shattered, communities have been destroyed and families have been torn apart. At least one child dies every 10 minutes in Yemen from malnutrition and preventable diseases.

We require donations to help the homeless, helpless and malnourished children by providing money for their food and healthcare expenses.

We have set up this charity in memory of our little daughter Marwa who was stillborn this year. Our goal is to stop families from losing loved ones by providing food, water and basic necessities needed to survive. Our efforts will be mainly based in Yemen as we already have relief network on the ground ready to go.

Abu Huraira (RA) reported: The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said: Whoever relieves the hardship of a believer in this world, Allah will relieve his hardship on the Day of Resurrection. Whoever helps ease one in difficulty, Allah will make it easy for him in this world and in the Hereafter.

(Sahih Muslim 2699)
