I was initially hoping to raise money for a good friend of mine who had marfan syndrome. However, she passed away before I had the chance to do so. I would now like to run a half marathon in her memory, with the money I raise going to her family. She has left 2 beautiful children behind and I would like the money to go to them, placed in a trust fund for them in the future. Carly was such a fighter and such an inspiration. She fought against the odds to get herself back home with her husband and children so she could spend as much of her remaining time with them as possible. I feel this is the least I can do to help.
