Story

I am the founder of a small but hugely impactful club called 'Chat Club', (registered as part of a UK charity ) . Myself and other mentors link with disadvantaged students in schools and orphanages overseas such as the Children's Garden Home in Kenya. From our chats we know how much these children benefit by connecting to their mentors. We work to build their confidence, believe in themselves , improve their English skills and we raise funds to provide basics such as food / toiletries/educational tools and improvements to the home. 100% of all funds raised are used towards benefiting the Children's Garden Home and are fully audited.

The Children's Garden Home was founded in 2001 by an inspirational man called Moses who, whilst living in the slums, attended a school that changed his life. Moses decided to help others in the same way that he had been helped. Moses and his wife Sylvia opened an orphanage and school in Uthiru Nairobi, called ‘Children’s Garden Home.’

Children's Garden Home now accommodates 200 children in a happy, nurturing home under the care of Moses and his team . The school within the home educates 500 students from within the home and local community from primary age up to college/university or employment.

The students at Children's Garden Home have escaped abuse, extremely dysfunctional broken homes, brought by police, family members or just abandoned at their doorstep. Many are from single parent families where problems are made worse by drink/drugs or poverty. Education was never a priority for these families. With help and care from Moses and his team, as well as local and overseas supporters, the children grow into happy, confident, capable young adults able to live independent lives, provide for themselves and give back to their community.

This 'Just Giving' fund raising is to support key projects such as teachers salaries , educational needs , food, leisure activities , hygiene

Donations, no matter how little , will help enormously towards these projects Thank you in advance .
