    Story

This year, St. Vincent’s Hospice marks 30 years of providing specialist care to people and families who are affected by life limiting conditions in Renfrewshire and beyond.

Our story began in 1983, when members of the St. Vincent De Paul Society identified the need to care for people with terminal illnesses in the local area. This marked the beginning of a five-year campaign: The St. Vincent’s Hospice Project.

Thanks to their tireless efforts, in 1987 they were able to purchase a house and after a year of renovation, we opened our doors to patients on the 25th of January 1988 at North Road in Johnstone.

Since then, we have continued to go from strength to strength, expanding our services and treating more patients than ever before. Below, you can find our timeline of some of the biggest milestones for St. Vincent’s Hospice.

        What is crowdfunding?

Crowdfunding is a new type of fundraising where you can raise funds for your own personal cause, even if you're not a registered charity.

I will be doing a zip-slide across the Clyde for 30 seconds on the 15th of September 2018 to support St Vincent's Hospice and all the hard work they have put into the last 30 years they have been running.
