Story
Hi, my name is Natasha, I'm a 42 yo mum of two lovely kids, married to the love of my life. Today I received a diagnosis which turned our life upside down. I have a metastatic stage of stomach cancer. Doctors said I have 1 year left.
We decided to fight... so I'll have a chemo treatment. The treatment itself will not cost us any money (I guess), but my husband will need to take days off to take me to the hospital and back home, and each day will "cost" us £150 which is a huge amount of money for our family.
Unfortunately, I have no choice, so I'm here and asking for your help. We will be deeply grateful for any help.
Thank you and God bless.
Natasha

6 years agoHad my second round of chemo. It was a bit different and now I know why we should stay and rest for 30 minutes after the session. 2 minutes after the last drop of after-chemo flash felt, I had a throat spasm, I couldn't breathe through the throat or talk... at all. Luckily I can to panic and breathe slow and deep at the same time, and to my luck nurses in Macmillan react immediately if you press your buzzer :) Now I have my usual "gifts" - pins and needles in my fingers, jaw cramps etc. And looking forward to 2 weeks of "dry chemo enjoyment

6 years agoSo..... here I am :) after my FIRST CHEMO. Actually, I feel ok, a little bit strange, but ok. I had no negative or unpleasant feelings at all. It took about 4 hours, which I spent napping and reading. What is really uncomfortable - the temperature sensitivity in my fingers. I tried to wash my hands, I just opened the tap, and when I placed my hands under the water and felt like not a room temperature water, but the liquid nitrogen! So I had no choice, just to ask Nika to make a nice warm water for me. Thank you all for your donations!

My dear friend, I hope this helps. I plan to do more, I’ve started my own fundraiser. Funny how someone you’ve never met across miles of oceans can make a impact on your life. You inspire me so much.
