Story

We’re raising funds for Kat, a vibrant, courageous 38-year-old mother of two, who is living with incurable HER2+ metastatic breast cancer.

Despite everything she’s been through, Kat continues to face each day with strength, warmth, and unwavering love for her two young daughters, who are the heart of her world.

Why We’re Fundraising

Kat is now pursuing integrative oncology treatment; a personalised, evidence-based approach that combines advanced testing, nutrition, and supportive therapies alongside her NHS care. Her goal is to improve her quality of life, manage side effects, and hopefully extend her time with her family.

She’s already secured a place with a world-class specialist at the Synthesis Clinic, thanks to significant donations from her family. Now, she needs help funding the next steps: further diagnostics, supplements, therapies, and expert support that aren’t covered by the NHS.

Kat’s Journey

Kat was first diagnosed two years ago, just before her youngest daughter’s second birthday. Following a mastectomy and lymphadenectomy, she was told that her treatment had failed. Her cancer is incurable. Since then she’s continued chemotherapy every three weeks and recently completed 15 rounds of radiotherapy.

She’s been bravely raising awareness about access to new cancer drugs and pushing through relentless treatment, despite losing her job and half of her household income. Now, she’s ready to take back control but she can’t do it alone.

Why This Treatment?

This isn’t alternative medicine, Kat’s doctor is a former surgical oncologist and researcher at the Royal Marsden. The Synthesis Clinic team works alongside NHS care, offering a cutting-edge, integrated approach.

Kat was inspired after meeting women through her cancer network who are now showing no signs of disease, after following similar integrative treatment plans.

How You Can Help

Your donation will go directly toward essential elements of her care, including advanced tests, nutritional support, IV therapies, and specialist treatments tailored to her needs.

This is about giving Kat a real chance to fight with everything available; to make more memories with her daughters, and to ease the financial strain during the hardest chapter of her life.

Please donate if you can and share Kat’s story. Every pound helps give her hope, strength, and most importantly time.
