Due to an accident last January, I could no longer afford to pay pet insurance
This is my nearly 3 yr old boy Bear.
A few months ago he was doing what most dogs do when were eating our dinner, laying under the table in the hopes something would run off the plate and into his mouth.
Bear stood up as we got up & he hit his head on the table. A few days later we noticed blood but couldn't find where it was coming from until one day he sneezed & my boyfriends arm was covered. Shortly after Bear collapsed.
We took him straight to the vets who did xrays, MRI scans and they couldn't find a reason for the blood.
Since then fluid around his scull is decreasing & his muscles controlling the eyes, tongue, jaw are not working as well.
Eventually my boy will lose his site and unable to eat.
The vets said take him to London City Vets to be helped. But knowing my boy he won't be happy being away as he gets anxiety, plus the cost was minimum £5k
Bears vet has said the best thing for him is quality of life rather than staying away from his family & suffering anxiety which he gets when i leave him for to long (couple of hours)
Bear has been on numerous meds to try & help him.
A few days ago he kept asking for more & more water and on approaching his bowl i saw the water in there was red.
I cant find a reason why there is blood.
Its not visible & can only be coming from his lungs or tummy maybe his throat.
The vets so far are baffled
He is a happy boy... i think, or atleast thats how he comes across. He eats soft food now as he cannot chew as well as he could, but drinks loads.
He no longer has his beautiful curly tail, & his front paws are flappy when he walks.
I have spoken to our vet & we need to get him in to see him but it is going to be very costly & due to being unable to work like i used to i have been unable to save any money.
If anyone who is a dog/animal lover or would be happy to help to help, please donate to get my boy the help he needs.
