Isaac was born with severe bilateral talipes (clubfoot in both feet). He has had serial full leg casting since he was 2 weeks old to get his feet into a position ready for a minor operation called a tenotomy to release the tendon at the back of his heel and had further casting to hold his feet in the correct position whilst they heal.

He then went into a brace called boots and bar 23hrs a day, 6 weeks into wearing the brace he relapsed and required more casts but narrowly missed having to have another tenotomy under general anesthetic at 3 months old.

Ever since going back into the brace he had suffered with open wounds and bad pressure sores causing infections and scars. His knees, hips and ankles click and pop more and more each day.

We were able to get a better and more suitable brace for Isaac privately that will solve his problems and help him develop and grow without restrictions and a much lower risk of relapsing again.

I'm not one to ask for charity but needs must as I will do anything for Isaac. The boots and bar treatment hasn't worked well for him to say the least and the suitable and better alternative isn't available on the NHS. So here I am, asking kindly for anyone who can and wants to donate towards his next set of the Cunningham Braces. He's had a pretty rough time and enough is enough, he deserves the best treatment available and to stop being in pain and ending up with scars from his open sores. These new braces have been the best thing for him, allowing him no restrictions in growth and development.

Already in a short space of time Isaac's feet are amazing with these new braces, his heels have dropped into position, he has an arch and his dorisflextion and range are absolutely perfect! And what's more, no more pressure sores and open wounds!!!
