I am participating in a 3 week World Challenge expedition to Thailand and Cambodia in the summer of 2019. I am hoping to raise money for the volunteering element of this trip by completing a sponsored walk.

The types of volunteering we will do in Thailand and Cambodia will vary from teaching and listening to children read English, organising events (like sports days), caring for farm animals and building educational facilities/amenities. Whether we will be working predominantely in construction or education will be decided closer to the expedition, depending on what the community is most in need of at that time.

To raise money, I will be walking 75 miles (25 miles a day over 3 days) from the Birmingham Conservatoire (where I have been studying the cello every Saturday for 9 years) to my house in Yardley Gobion along the Grand Union Canal - - but without my cello!
