My name is Natasha and I am 17 years old and this November/ December I am going to The Gambia with my school, Beacon academy. The school has been involved with charity projects in the Gambia over the last 20 years. This year marks the 25th trip. Each year a group of 6th form students raise money which is then taken to fund projects in villages such as water systems, school buildings, health centre buildings and equipment and many other projects. I am lucky enough to get a place on the trip this year and have been asked to raise a minimum of £500 which goes directly to funding these projects.
