I've raised £300 to The Royal Scots Benevolent Fund in memory of my father who served with and eventually commanded the regiment. They do amazing work.

In memory

Story

My father served with the Royal Scots, eventually leading them as their Commanding Officer. We have had the opportunity to bury him in the military cemetery in Colchester cruelly taken away from us by others and are now not even able to attend a funeral for our own dad. As such, we dont have anywhere to lay flowers people give us and we know that our dad would rather any money go to help the men and families of the regiment he lived for and dedicated his life to. We will have a collection on the day of his memorial service which anyone is welcome to attend on 13/07/18 (please let me know for numbers asap) but so many people are unable to make it due to holidays and work committments abroad.

We are collecting money to give to the Royal Scots Benevolent Fund. They do not have a Just Giving page specific to them, so I thought I’d do it this way. There is a small fee but it comes out of your donation and not an additional cost. Anything you could donate in his memory, no matter how small, we would be eternally grateful for.

Jimmy Springthorpe at the regimental association has shown nothing but unwavering support, another reason why we want to give back.

Thank you all for your thoughts and kindness.

Love Tash xxx
