I've raised £200 to support St Agatha’s Trust

Agatha’s Trust is a fund that was set up from breast cancer patients in Russells Hall Hospital, Dudley. What started as a small group of ladies offering one another much needed support and comfort, has blossomed over the years into a very successful support group of which my auntie (Vicky) facilitates. Ladies meet each month offering useful tips, advice and much needed affirmation that it’s normal to feel the emotions that they are going through. This can act as a life line for many ladies and is recognised as part of the patients recovery programme along with all of the traumatic treatments that have to be endured. In addition to this, funds that are received into the trust account sponsor a vital resource to the breast care unit; make up sessions by Boots No7 for ladies currently going through chemo & radiotherapy (Feel more like You), who need to have help with their self-esteem and confidence. As this is not sponsored by any of the main make-up brands, it is all funded through the charity. Other funds go towards making the breast care unit more comfortable for patients awaiting appointments. Furniture, vending machines, equipment, T.V’s, new gowns, etc. which have also been purchased.
