Story

I went to Sri Lanka not long ago for a few months and fell in love with country and the people and culture. As much as I fell in love with the place it really did sadden me and made me feel so lucky and blessed in how we live and have access to sports and how we can get involved. The people that live in the poor areas called ‘The Slums,’ have very small chance to play sports, which I want to change and take my love of sports over there and help teach and give the children some fun memories and great experiences with sport.

£300 would enable us to give enough equipment and time and resources to help to teach sports and promote sports and give the people who live in the slums access to sports they cant get without going to school.

The first £100 would buy all the equipment and gear needed to teach and equip. The first batch of money would solely be for equipment and for transport to venues if needed

The next £300 would be for supporting local youth from the church who I would be with, coaching and providing them with the knowledge and helping them gain there coaching badges to carry on to teach themselves while i am back in U.K until the next time I go out

I have been using my own money up until now but I would love more support so I can make it work better.

The church I will be working with is the ‘Kollupitiya’ Methodist Church Colombo, in Sri Lanka along with their youth. I will have more details in the next few weeks which I will post and I will try to answer any questions that you have.

The dates I will be hoping to be working on this is the middle of November until March then hopefully again the following year.
