99 Miles for Ricky – A Tribute to a Friend, a Father, and a Family
On Saturday 16th August 2025, I will be taking on a 99-mile challenge—this isn’t just another charity event, and it’s not just about miles. It’s personal.
This journey is in memory of my dear friend Ricky Warden, who tragically and suddenly passed away in his sleep, leaving behind his beloved partner Amy and their beautiful children, Henri and Maddison.
Ricky was just 33 years old.
To honour his memory, I’ll be covering 99 miles—broken down into:
A 33-mile run
Followed by a 33-mile bike ride
Ending with a 33-mile walk
Each leg of the journey symbolises the love he had for his family—Amy, Henri, and Maddison—who are at the heart of this challenge.
Amy hasn’t asked for help, but as a father myself, I can’t begin to imagine the pain she’s enduring right now. I knew I had to do something. This is my way of trying to help—a small act, in the hope of making a big difference.
All funds raised will go directly to support Amy and the children as they navigate life without Ricky.
Everyone is welcome—whether you want to join me for the run, cycle, or walk. I’ll be sharing more details soon including routes, times, and the exact date.
This is for Ricky. This is for his family.
Let’s do something special together. 💙
