I've raised £5000 to distribute 100 skateboards to disadvantaged children to encourage social inclusion.

Hello, my name is Nathan Graham. My home is Dunfermline in Fife, Scotland. On the 1st of April this year I will be flying out to California to begin a 3000 mile thru hike from the West coast to the East coast of the USA, Los Angeles to New York (Unsupported).
This will take roughly 6-8 months. In July I will be returning to the UK for a month for Visa purposes then will be heading straight back out to pick up where I left off as soon as my passport is returned to me.
I am honoured to be using this opportunity to raise money and awareness for @boards_for_bairns . A local social project that provides skateboards to disadvantaged children.
I have chosen this project because I have seen first hand the benefits of skateboarding on myself and those around me. Many of many of the friends I respect the most now, are friends I made at the skatepark in my youth. One of those good friends is Rory Fell. Rory founded Boards for Bairns after leaving university and seeing a need for it.
“Unfortunately the cost of a high quality skateboard can be reasonably high. Cheaper boards are available but they usually can’t be used for anything past learning to stand on, and often are unsafe to use. However once a kid has a good board, they can access public skateparks free of charge.
That’s why we started Boards For Bairns. We provide high quality skateboards free of charge for any individuals who lack the means but have an interest in participating. We believe skateboarding should be accessible for all, and since our inception we’ve distributed boards to kids all over the country!“
All money donated will go towards providing skateboards to those that wish to have access to them.
