My beautiful god-daughter- Natalia has been recently diagnosed with Wilms’ cancer at its 4th stage. Natalia is 4 years old. She will be 5 in November 2016.
September was supposed to be the beginning of a new era- Natalia started school! She loved it! Unfortunately, all the excitement and magic ended a few weeks later… at the beginning of October 2016 Natalia was diagnosed with Wilms’ cancer.
She has a tumour on her kidney which has already spread to her lungs. Natalia already went through few chemotherapy sessions and some blood transfusions. After completing the next three sessions Natalia’s kidney will be removed. Based on the operation’s result there will be a treatment plan put in place (chemotherapy and a possible radiotherapy if needed). The doctors at Manchester Children Hospital are very supportive and it’s great to know that Natalia is getting the best care and treatments possible.
Natalia is a fighter and she will win the battle, no doubt!
When I asked Natalia about her deepest wish, she said she would love to go to Disneyland.

"Kidney cancer in children is rare but this is the most common type they can get. Around 80 children are diagnosed with a Wilms' tumour each year in the UK. They are most common in children under 5. Wilms tumours often become quite large before they are noticed."
