There is a road to the top of even the highest mountain

On July 20, 2020, HikeVentures Afghanistan will embark on a historic climb of Nowshakh mountain in the Wakhan corridor of Afghanistan. This is the highest peak in Afghanistan at more than 7492 meters (24000 feet) high in the Badakhshan province!

This will be the first time in history that an all Afghan group will attempt this climb. [The first Afghans to reach the summit did so in 2009 with the assistance of French mountaineers.]

In addition to an all Afghan crew of hikers and climbers, we will have four Afghan female climbers with us - an inspiration to not only the women of Afghanistan, but to the rest of the world.

Some facts about this expedition:

20-day expedition

10 climbers/ hikers total

3-day trek to the base of the mountain Noshaq

Dangers include buried mines, oxygen deprivation and exposure to the elements*

Estimated 8400 USD (6800 GBP) cost for 10 hikers (includes all transportation, supplies, equipment and porters guides)

Khyber Khan will be documenting this trip free of charge and taking exclusive film and photography of this beautiful area of Afghanistan.
