Story

My daughters guitar has been in the family for over 20 years and this was vandalised at the breakfast club in her school. I hung up thr guitar in the usual place and she was only there for an hour and when she went to get the guitar it was broken. No one heard or saw anything. The school advised they are not liable for this as they rent the space out, the breakfast/after school club took the guitar to get a quote from a professionl guitarist who advised it would cost £200 pounds to put on the wall and a further £200 to get this fixed if she wants to play this, and a further £100 to clean/shine etc...they advised it would be cheaper to buy another but this is like an heirloom for us, and a slap in the face, this upset me and my 8 year old as she blames herself for this and it isnt her fault at all. Her sister who is 21 years old played this guitar at her primary school and it was supposed to continue down the familyline. Once i have gran children they would play and so on. The club will only pay £100 towards this so i need to raise the rest as a single parent paying for holiday club and camp fees for the summer holiday this hasnt been budgeted for and seeing the tears in my daughters eyes its just unberable at the moment.
