Story

Every day while dropping my little girls to school we stop at the traffic light and few homeless and hungry people knock on the car window and ask for help.
One day my six year old asked me 'mummy why are these people asking for for money?' to which i replied because they are poor and they dont have a place to live. She then looked at those people and gently said 'its sad mummy, we should let them stay in our house if they don't have a home.'
This one sentence literally opened my eyes to something we adults overlook. If a six year old can feel the pain of being homeless then how can we be so selfish and walk by these poor people sleeping on footpaths.
I would like to request everyone to help generously so I can atleast help a few homeless people in Ilford who sleep on footpath near a car park.
Thank you very much for your contributions.
