Story
In June 2021, officers from Nottinghamshire Police CID will embark upon a cycling challenge in the Scottish north coast, known as the NC500. The route, which starts in Inverness will follow a clockwise path calling in on Applecross, Ullapool, Durness, John o’ Groats and the UK’s longest climb, the Beanach na Ba.The full route will be conquered over 5 days in which the riders will travel over 100 miles per day, navigating through the most remote areas in the UK, climbing about 30,000 feet in an area where you can expect, snow, wind, rain and sun all in the same day.The ride will be raising money for the John Eastwood Hospice, a palliative care service in Mansfield and also the Chief Constable’s chosen charity for 2020.
We have already raised over £400 through just giving however due to the ride being delayed several times due to covid the previous funding page expired.
Were now hoping that this second page will add to our charity fund and help some local charities so please feel free to share.
Many Thanks Team 500
