In our NCS group we‘ve decided to support the Basement Project in Bromsgrove. This project supports 16-25 year olds who are homeless or who might experience homelessness in order to create a foundation for independence. It is committed to supporting, enabling and safeguarding young people and vulnerable adults. Our group has been informed of how much work the shelter do in protecting youths and young adults by acting as a hub and support network with complimentary workshops, therapy and mediation on offer. The shelter also works closely with a nearby shelter and makes tirless effort to find beds and jobs for those who do not have the resources to get these. For our fundraiser, our group of 15 will sleep rough for a night to support those who have to do this every night. We also plan to gather vital food and materials that the shelter require to carry on supporting those in need. It will be so humbling to receive as many donations as possible as this will assist so many young people.
