Story

We are a group of 16-17 year olds taking part in an NCS project to help raise money for the Bucks County Museum, which is helping to raise awareness for local community projects. They provide support to certain charitable organisations through their galleries, which promote their work. One example is Wonder dogs, who train dogs to aid in coping with both physical and mental health problems. Bucks museum also encourages the community to take an interest in Buckinghamshire's local history and culture.

Currently the museum relies on donations to cover its £2,000 per day running costs and even more to maintain the archives, update exhibitions and promote local charities.

In order to raise money for the museum we are undertaking a sponsored walk in Wendover woods - where we aim to complete 10 miles. In addition to this we are running a market stall in Aylesbury on Monday 13th August, as well as a fun day at the museum on Tuesday 14th August.

Your money will help the museum continue to do its wonderful work within the community.

Thank you!
