The purpose of the funding proposal is to provide cheap, affordable holiday accommodation in Ukraine, primarily for Ukrainians. Following the annexation of Crimea from Ukraine, and the economic disruption that has followed, Ukrainians have not only lost their main holiday destination but have also seen a significant rise in the cost of living stretching across accommodation, food and most other consumer goods. In a country where the vast majority of the 50 million population have limited income (for example, pensions are about £50 per month) affordable holidays are limited. We want to provide holiday accommodation in the form of Glamping Pods, which are significantly cheaper than B&B and an all-year alternative to tents, giving much needed respite from more than two years of turmoil.
The funding will enable us to purchase the initial plot of land and build the first "Pod". The remainder of the five year plan will be financed from our own resources, including my state pension from February next year.
