Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

On 13 June 2026, three friends and I will be cycling from Anglesey in North Wales to Maesteg in South Wales. This challenge marks two significant milestones: 200 years since the Menai Bridge was opened and the founding of Maesteg Town.

Our route will take us through some incredible scenery, passing Bangor, Porthmadog, Dolgellau, Caersws, Llanidloes, Builth Wells, Brecon, the Rhigos and Bwlch Mountains and the Afan Valley, before finishing at Maesteg Celtic RFC.

We’re aiming to complete the ride in around 12–13 hours, although this will depend on rest stops, prevailing wind/weather conditions, avoiding any mechanical issues… and, of course, how our legs hold up on the day!

We’ll also have a support vehicle along the way, driven by the ever-enthusiastic “Mr Motivator” himself, Anthony Bwye 😁and Rhodri Bwye - who also plans on cycling part of the route.

All funds raised will go towards supporting little Flo, who is currently receiving treatment for cancer. If you’re able to contribute, no matter how small the amount, it will make a meaningful difference in helping to support her and her family during this difficult time.
