Standing Up its What I do ....
Hello
I would like to introduce myself, my name is Thomas Jackson I am 14 hrs old and currently dealing with a massive change in my life.
On the 4th September 2020 I collapsed at home after playing cricket , I play county county cricket for Lancashire County Cricket Club U15s and Hyde C.C ,i am a wicket keeper batsman
I was recently diagnosed with medulloblastoma , a tumour to my brain, after 3 major operations in 2 weeks, I am now on the road to recovery, I have just started a chemo trial and currently undergoing proton beam therapy at the Christie hospital in Manchester and chemo on ward 84 of the RMCH.
I have started a page @Standinupfound
The plan is to get as many beanies hats, bobby hats or caps donated to the children’s unit at The Christie and ward 84 to help boys and girls dealing with there hair loss.
After speaking with the specialist nurses , they advised me that hair loss is very common with proton beam/chemo therapy, and can be a significant challenge to children.
My ask to you , please would you be able to donate a pound or two so we can purchase as may hats as possible and help others dealing with this challange.
I appreciate we are in strange times and completely understand if you are unable to help, but thank you for reading mystory
Many thanks for your time.
Keep smiling xxx
